Focus Group
Welcome to our weekly update on your child's exciting learning journey.
This week, the children engaged in some fun and creative learning challenges.
Sorting skills and colour recognition were reinforced when the children were invited to sort dyed pasta shapes by colour and put them into the appropriate bowls.
Ordering and letter recognition skills were required to sort the mini ice cream counters into the correct alphabetical sequence. Concentration and precision were needed to work with the people Who Help Us figure puzzle.
At the art table, we gave the children some feathers and they enjoyed sticking them onto picture templates.
A spider’s web built in a tuff tray provided the opportunity for a fun sorting activity.
A tray of paint was a brilliant way to have some messy fun exploring what happens when colours are combined. The children also enjoyed making marks by driving small world vehicles though the paint.
There was also time for the children to express themselves creatively through drawing.
